For golf cart dealers, builders, and service businesses

Run a stronger golf cart business, in season and out.

Golf cart businesses juggle inventory, a busy service bay, parts and accessories, customer financing, and a selling season that can arrive all at once. Josh Muller brings leadership and coaching experience from building and selling a company of his own. Matt LaFleur brings CFO-level financial clarity. Together, we help owners see which parts of the business make money, plan for the seasons, and build a team that does not need the owner in every decision.

Where golf cart owners bring us in

If any of these sound familiar, a conversation is a good place to start.

  • Spring arrives and sales, service, and accessory orders all hit at once.
  • Inventory and floor plan costs are tying up cash you need somewhere else.
  • You are not sure which side of the business really makes money: new carts, used carts, service, parts, or accessories.
  • The service department is busy, but it is hard to tell whether it is profitable.
  • Every decision still runs through the owner.
  • You are weighing a new location, a new brand, a rental fleet, or building your own carts.
  • You are planning for growth, a partner change, or an eventual sale.

The golf cart year

Twelve months, one selling season.

A typical Northeast Ohio year. Every business is a little different, but the shape is familiar: most of the year is spent preparing for a few very busy months.

  1. Plan

Set targets, order inventory, and train the team.

  2. Ramp up

Preorders, prep, and staffing for spring.

  3. Peak season

Sales, deliveries, and a full service bay.

  4. Steady

    Service, accessories, and used carts.

  5. Off-season

Storage, winter service, and the next plan.

Illustrative. We help you plan cash, inventory, and staffing around your own calendar.

Five businesses under one roof

Each part of a golf cart business has its own margins, inventory, and people needs. We help you see how each one performs.

  • New carts

Inventory, floor plan cost, and gross profit per unit.

  • Used carts

Trade-ins, reconditioning, and how fast units turn.

  • Service

Technician time, scheduling, and the busy-season backlog.

  • Parts

Stock levels, turns, and what sits on the shelf.

  • Accessories

Pricing, attach rates, and custom builds.

How we serve golf cart businesses

Some owners need a coach and a stronger leadership team. Some need CFO-level guidance on inventory, cash, and margins. Many need both, working together.

Why golf cart owners work with us

Golf cart businesses are owner-led businesses with a few twists: seasonality, inventory, and a service side that can make or break the year. That is familiar ground for an owner-operator and a CFO.

Built for owner-led businesses
Josh built and sold a company. We know what it is like when the owner carries everything.
Both sides of the business
Leadership and the numbers in the same conversation, so plans hold up in the showroom and on the balance sheet.
Seasonal realism
Plans that account for the slow months and the spring rush, not just an average year.
Straight talk
We tell you what we see and help you decide what to do about it.

How we work with your business

  1. Listen and get oriented

Understand the owner, the team, the business, and the season you are in.

  2. Find the useful facts

Look at sales, service, parts, inventory, cash, and the people behind them.

  3. Choose the next steps

Agree on priorities with clear owners, dates, and a definition of done.

  4. Stay with the work

If we work together, we revisit the plan through the year and adjust as the seasons change.

Common questions

Do you only work with dealers?

No. Dealers, builders and customizers, service and repair shops, parts and accessory businesses, and rental and fleet operators can all be a good fit.

What does a fractional CFO do for a golf cart business?

A fractional CFO helps you understand which parts of the business make money, plan inventory and cash around the seasons, price carts, accessories, and service well, and prepare for conversations with lenders and partners, on a part-time basis.

Is the off-season a good time to start?

Often, yes. The slower months are a good time to plan, fix systems, and set up the team before spring. We can also help in the middle of a busy season.

Do you prepare taxes or perform audits?

No. Maple Creek Advisors is not a registered CPA firm and does not provide tax preparation or attest services such as audits, reviews, or compilations.

Do you work outside Northeast Ohio?

Yes. We have offices in Cuyahoga Falls and Elyria and work with owners across Northeast Ohio. Much of the work can happen remotely, so golf cart businesses elsewhere are welcome too.
